Shadowgame ‘Desire’ reviews are in!

Well done to the Shadowgame boys who have scored some favourable reviews for their debut release ‘Desire’. They are stand up gents and it was a pleasure working with them, always good to see a bit of cred being dealt around after all the hard work a band puts in to producing something to release!

New package deals for Independent Artists & Bands

I am now offering a range of package deals for independent artists and bands. Don’t be backwards in coming forwards if you have any questions about how a package can be adapted to your individual setup. Details can be found on this page.

New toys!

It has been a little while so an update is in order! I have bought a new toy to get me out of the studio and into recording stuff where ever me and my laptop can get to. The RME Babyface is proving to be an awesome little box of power! Its first real trial under pressure for me will be recording a string quartet in a lovely old church for one of the Shadowgame tracks – exciting!

In other news we have been diligently mixing the rest of the Shadowgame record as each track has had its final touches locked down. It was a pleasure to have a very special guest artist tickle the keys for one of them! Also I spent a day with the Engine Three Seven boys cooking up a little surprise for their fans while they take a break from gigging to write their forthcoming full length album.

July is looking to be an interesting month with a good mix of local and international artists coming to grace the couch at The Alley.

Ciao for now!

Adelaide Fringe, delayed flights and Coopers Pale!

Just had a great weekend in Adelaide doing Luke Escombe’s show ‘CHRONIC’ for Adelaide fringe. Sold out shows and the whole city buzzing with action and shows happening left right and centre made for a great first Adelaide experience! I was, at first, dismayed to find out my flight was held up for an hour – but the moment was saved by the realisation I could pass the time and write up this blog post in the Coopers Ale House!!! See you back here in March for another run of CHRONIC shows rAdelaide!

Welcome!

Thanks for dropping in to check out the new site! 2011 has been a VERY busy year. Having relocated to Melbourne in the dying light of 2010 I am now all set up calling a new studio (The Alley), home in ‘Jack The Bears’ stunning facility in Brunswick. Its a great space to work and designed by one of the all time great studio makers George Ausberger, a delight to behold indeed! A lot of exciting things have been happening with some great new acts and lots of exciting projects are currently under way so check back in to get a look in at all that is and has been going on.

Enjoy!
